Hayne

Sorry if there are other blogs about him, and I know it's 2nd half coming, but I think hayne has secured the wing over French. The big body shows that he can break tackles and score or on kick returns. I think Frenchy needs to build up more but I don't know what should happen with him.Go eels.

  • French problem was putting on kilos. He’s lost all his agility and speed
    • True, but gets ragged dolled.

    • Hayne has deserved an extension since he returned from injury and has played excellent ever since.
    • Two months ago I would have disagreed but lately Princess has been playing really well, looks fit, looks committed & more importantly looks happy.

I agree, he deserves to be re-signed.

  • Last night Princess showed that he has really matured as a player irrespective of his natural ability. When he was injured he did not take the easy option of going off to the sheds for treatment. He stayed on & played on for the team despite the pain & discomfort involved.

He is also showing that he has evolved into a team player. His commitment in our on line defence was outstanding & I was very impressed with his on field co-ordination with Moses. Their combo understanding may develop into something special.

  • I have said for months that Hayne is a winger. Nothing else. Last nights game proved that.
He doesnt have to think to much on the wing, or try and be creative. That's just not him.
  • Hayne’s injuries in the first half or more of years year were actually quite a big reason why the team underperformed early I reckon. I thought even though we were losing Radrardra we were getting a player with similar attacking instincts with a habit of scoring tries and who makes the most of a bit of space. When it was apparent that Hayne was very limited by injury early I was worried because our backline lacked class with him out.
    • Yeah I reckon it’s a possibility. It’s the one thing he hasn’t done yet
  • I’m just so happy he has overcome his injuries and illness since his comeback from that and found his old form ...just like I and only a few here knew he would...only fitting for a Parramatta legend like hiim... makes it one huge win for the fans :)))
  • The illness story which conveniently coincided with a bit of form , can’t tell it’s contract time for ol Haynsey.  It’s like clockwork when he’s up for a new signature .  Flop through the season and then play a few good games and then stick the hand out .

He played in Fiji like what , 2 years ago haha .  You expect us to believe that a guy surrounded by some of the best medical minds in the country couldn’t pin point this issue earlier ?  Even the Fijians won’t drink their own tap water .
