Have FAITH in BA!

I see BA has named a basically unchanged side for this week.

I've also noticed the barrage of negative comments surface about him in recent weeks.

I can totally understand this response but I believe there are reasons.

Obviously injuries have taken their toll.

The second tier salary cap problems.

The salary cap problems in general.

We have only 21 of 25 players to utilise if I'm correct?

BA's hands are tied!

I think we need to back his decision making as there are reasons for every decision he makes and no doubt DA has been assisting in this difficult time at the eels.

Between BA and DA, I believe we have very good coaching staff at Parra for the first time in a long time and as difficult as it is, we need to stand behind their decisions.

I do wish BA would come out on the eels site and state why he makes some decisions and us fans could have some transparency when it comes to this stuff though?

Anyway, back BA and the rest of the eels coaching staff and we'll see what happens!

PS Believe in SK ;)

  • He obviously has little choice when Seffa and Toutai continue to be picked each week.

  • Sinter Klaas?
  • I agree with you here grunta, Im happy with BA, but this blog reminds me of your famous ''have faith in SK' blogs, please dont jinx BA grunta, just stay away from writing these sorts of blogs lol.

    • Believe in SK snakie!

    • I don't have a problem with BA either, and the scuttlebut is that Manly really did not want him to go, such is the regard they hold for him. My specific concern and I own that concern is the resting of Hayne over origin period, when other wounded stars turned out for their clubs, bearing in mind its different for a back than a forward( barring niggling injuries of course).I was hoping that he is not calling some shots from the " I am precious" point of view. It appears though it was BA's call and yes its a tough calender. But seeing Hayne in the stands at the Warriors game munching on potatoe chips grinded my gears, maybe I am a getting cranky in my old age lol. But I am with BA and my Manly supporter mates thinks he is gold, so I shall live with it for now. The edge back line defense needs plenty of work. Semi has to position himself better, and Morgan struggles with that as well.

  • Hope so BK...I will be at the game & quietly confident we can turn it around....

  • Titans(a) Sharks (a) Raiders (h) Bulldogs (h) manly (h) knights (a) raiders (a)

If we can beat majority of them which we should still hopeful for top 8!

    • we can lose 1 game to make the 8

  • It's been well publicised that it's a looooong year for younger players with the week to week rigour of an NRL season but...

What about a reasonably young and inexperienced coach who has had to battle the injury crisis, SOO and boardroom battles. Not to mention signing rumours.

BA will earn his money this year....compared to say a Bennett etc.

    • Very good point PF. Bennett has had two very average years with a reasonably stable roster and little of the boardroom BS we have endured yet he is almost non compis mentas as far as the media is concerned. On the other hand every move at Parra is heavily scrutinised by the fans (justafiably), the media and anyone else who has an opinion. Why? because the people that print the papers and run the news know that Parra is a headline that the masses are interested in, fewer numbers are interested in the others. Full stop.
