Broncos duo Ezra Mam and Payne Haas are both facing time on the sidelines after the pair were charged with Grade Two Dangerous Contact offences in Brisbane's win over the Eels in Darwin.
Mam was cited for a tackle on Matt Doorey in the 63rd minute while Haas was charged for an incident on Reagan Campbell-Gillard one minute later.
Eels forward J'maine Hopgood was also charged for a Grade One Dangerous Contact offence for a tackle on Cory Paix that saw him sent to the sin bin, with the 23-year-old facing a $1,800 fine with an early guilty plea
| Player | Charge | Record | Plea | Penalty |

so lets get this right . your saying Hopgood should not of had 10mins sin bin. Hass should of been sent..
mmmmmmmm nothing to see here, its only the eels.
There are bigger issues to be seen in this. There is no doubt a consistent bias against the eels. Gutterson also clearly and deliberately pulled the ball towards his own tryline and this was not overturned by a video ref reluctant to overcall the on field decision. Hopgood just made a normal tackle and did not come down on the players legs but was hip to hip. The fine is just to make the NRL look like they are in the right. But it is more than that. The draw has been a disgrace. Playing the game last night in the wet season in NT and choosing this to be against a QLD again is simply unbelievable and must have been a deliberate choice. We as a club need to call this out. This game could easily have been played in July. It is time Parramatta who was not a turncoat super league team stood up to the NRL who seem to allow the Superleague teams all the power in the game.
I wonder if Hopgood on minimum coin will pay the fine or take a suspension.
You know "just to make a point and take a stand ".
mmmmmmm Just saying. 🤐
so only 1 of the 'grade 2' offences got the bin but our 'grade 1' got 10 and our best prop will be out 'for weeks'. Frustrating stuff. If Mam & Haas were both binned we would have been playing against 11 with all the momentum for most of the 10mins.
If that had been one of our props or a Tigers prop instead of Haas, they would've copped a minimum 2-3 week suspension.
So Haas should have been sinbinned and Hopgood should not have.
Also if we batted dead those 2 shit trries the broncos got to kotoni staggs and ezra mam, we would have won...
I think we are all forgetting that you couldn't sin bin Haas as it's not fair for the fans to not watch him on the field, how can Klein do that for the fans.
Corrupt NRL decisions
What was the go with Lane's ruck interference and us getting the feed? It looked like Reynolds wanted to challenge the decision and Klein was having none of it.
Ok thank you I didn't realise that's the way he saw it
