Just like to read others thoughts on whether having the supposed 8th Joey Johns assisting with coaching the halves at the Eels has actually been of any benefit? In my personal opinion I don't think he has that much. Id rather see Sterling, Kenny or even Mortimer helping and having an input. Interesting although not surprised that the 8th is tipping the Knights to beat the Eels on Sunday. First time he's actually tipped against the Eels in awhile. Maybe he knows more of what's actually going on in the Eels camp.

No I didn't see the news yesterday. Don't watch it that much either too busy or it's too political. So what happened to him?
That's very sad to hear as he's such a great bloke, gentleman and one of my favourite halfbacks.
I don't think Joey can take much blame of our peformances. He is our halves coaches and doesn't contribute to the gameplan. It has only been half a year with Joey actually being allowed to train the halves in the 'bubble.'
I think Moses's improved kicking game is down to Joey, as well as our control of field position. We're among the top three teams in having the ball in the opponent's half.
As for his tips, I don't think Joey ever tips against Newcastle.
No doubt Joey has had some good influence upon the Eels halves but to what extent no sure. I've actually seen Joey tip a few times against Newcastle believe it or not. I was surprised.
In fact, this year Joey has tipped Knights to lose more often then has tipped them to win.
Sterlo tried to coach tim Smith without success. He never heard of sterlo but his old man did. I think his helped moses kicking game. He talks up Dylan but he is yet to show his potential. Mahoneys attacking game has good to another level. Gutho support play has gotten better.
Tim Smith was a decent number 7
for a year, before his bipolar issues came to the fore
Of course he has helped. Huge improvements in Reed, Moses and brown. Last 2 weeks has us forgetting just how well we were travelling
