Has Origin helped or hampered the Eels next Week?

Eels will be without Hayne and possibly Hopoate. We've already lost Peats but we may have De Gois to replace him.

The Dogs have lost their halves, T Rex and have Morris out injured.

Hayne is the best player in the world on current form, we rarely win without him.

Who has gained an advantage due to Origin commitments? Are we equally depleted?

Could Maitua come back to haunt us?

  • Definitely hampered. Being forced to play without Hayne is just ludicrous. What other professional sport in the world rests it's star players during the regular season. It's insane.
  • T Rex could be there. He could be the casualty for Greg Bird.
    • He could be too

  • I'm in two minds Muttman, if we were playing any other club I'd say we'd be royally screwed. Loosing both your halves and goal kicker is hard to overcome.

I think I would be less confident od a win if both clubs were at full strength playing at ANZ.

    • x2

  • The EPL rest players during the season. So too does the Australian cricket team. With professional sport being driven by media requirements for minimum numbers of matches, the onus is on administrators and team coaches to best manage their players throughout a season. League will have to get their heads around this.

As for which team is more or less advantaged/disadvantaged, I think that Bulldogs losing their players will be significant. They struggled this weekend in attack, as do we without Hayne. I fear that being the away team will factor in for us just as much as the loss of Hayne. For that reason I'm not as hopeful.
  • I reckon we gain the advantage, other than the usual and hoodoo

  • Yes we be Fu#K we cant win with out hayne and we cant win away from home

  • Justin Hunt definitely won't be playing any footy for extended period. He was watching from the sidelines at yesterday's Wenty game and could hardly walk.

The dogs are more disadvantaged with both their organizers out.
