Daly Cherry-Evans has single-handedly ruined the once galvanised Manly team culture which was the envy of all. The team survived years of boardroom infighting and politics to keep a successful winning premiership squad together.
Cherry-Evans is responsible for:
Completely dismantling that culture and team ethos that was present before his arrival.
Creating ongoing discontent within the playing group as the "DCE" circus rolls on and on.You are a fool if you don't think all of his team mates have had an absolute gut full of this/him.
The departures of Glenn Stuart, Anthony Watmough and Kieran Foran. The heart and soul of the club.
His reputation being destroyed forever. He can dribble all the excuses and justifications out he wants. What he did was the actions of a pathetic excuse for a man. It's ok to do "what's best for my family" but don't play others off a break in the fashion he did to achieve it with complete disregard for anyone else.
Leaving the Titans in a massive hole and the departures of their captain Nate Myles and Aiden Sezer.
I can not think of a player that has single-handedly done more damage to a team since Wayne Carey at North Melbourne AFL.
The best thing you could have done is let him go Manly, yeah, you might have had some lean years ahead as a result, but at least some of that fabric the club took years and years to build and the blood spilt by the ex players who achieved it would live on for the next generation coming through.
That is worth much more than one player and would not have cost you $10m.

Didn't he say he was moving to the GC to do what's best for his family?
I am of the opinion the Titans should sue DCE and the NRL for restraint of trade.
THINK ABOUT IT
Hayne? He kinda stuffed our roster this year by not giving us time to sign players with the money he left in our cap.
I don't think you can compare the two. I have much more respect for what Jarryd did, how he conducted himself, how quickly it played out and the reason he departed than I ever will for that weak, limp wristed, poor excuse of a man. Imagine a hand shake agreement with him.
I haven't heard too much booing in Qld for Inglis or any of the other dishonourable persons.
Wasn't there also talk about Quade Cooper agreeing to terms and then backing out? That probably would have been another failed experiment.
DCE and this fiasco will be forgotten soon enough.
