- Hayne departs prior the NRL Salary Cap Scandal
- Hayne swears allegiance to the Eels and agrees that if he returns to the NRL, that he will be an Eel
- Hayne reportedly being paid a retainer by the Eels
- Eels sign Michael Gordon but for only ONE season
- Salary cap scandal declared and announced
- Massive number of Eels players off contract for 2017
- Hayne quits NFL

However I'm of the view that Tax records should he made available by all registered players to the NRL to police the cap each year however players association object.
No doubt hes been in constant contact with BA and theres always a bigger picture.
BA, Schubert and Peter Sharp are handling negotiations of all contracts atm, if a deal was being done those 3 will be the ones doing it.
There has been no contact between Jarryd and the current board im told, Its possible Geoff Gerrard is part of the BA/Schub/Sharp loop but Cordwell, Garard and Gaidel are not so the board are not involved if its happening.
I believe the wheels are in motion for him to return, they have been in motion for him to return since he left, thats no surprise.
Hope so. I just can't help but think there may be a little more to the bigger picture here, but admit that I do love a good conspiracy theory.
