"De Belin will do a lot of the clean up work, the 3rd man in for our defence. Hopgood is now not alone in that area. He will not be flashy but he will definately do his job."
"positives are Loiero is out. That is a big piece of their middle, he does a lot of clean up work in defence, tightens up the attack. No Katoa and they are umming and arring whether to play Ativalu Lasati or Joe Chan on right edge.

It is being respectful and working with them
Don't expect them to let us get away with no points. But by their logic we should lose no points if Watmough is out for the season
So that could allow them to reinstate our points and give us a smaller points penalty instead eg 4-6 points
It was always rumoured it would be 4-6 points if the board goes and 10-12 if they don't
But the NRL may have thought they would look silly imposing another suspended points so soon after it failed last time.
Plus they can't let us get points if we are over cap.
So it may be if we play ball we can limp away with season still intact and roster still in tact
I noticed the above things as well and found it curious. Although I'd wish that was the case, i don't think it will come to pass that way.
We are not compliant with the cap until watmough has lodged the relevant paperwork regarding retirement, which by reports was around rd 4-5. From that, we might be lucky to gain 4-6 points back, however the first 4-5 rounds would still stand as us being over the cap, and the point deduction there will still go ahead.
Just need a new injury to put him out for the season - which happened in preseason
Watmough could even play next year - if we had the cap space and he doesn't retire
That would still put us in a better position than we are at atm.
All they should be thinking about is the points and how to save them - and maybe making sure when they leave previous factions don't take their place
If he doesn't retire it is for nothing. Him being out injured for the year does us little good, in previous years all we got from season ending injuries were exclusions from the 2nd tier cap, which in this instance would still keep us over the cap by 570k, If he is forced to retire due to his injury we can have his wage exempted and insurance will cover it, however that all depends on when and if Watmough decided to retire, which by reports he still had hopes at the start of the season, but was given advice to hang later.
Valid medical certificate and new injury, then cap free for the entire year
that'll be great if it's the case, regardless I've heard watmough has already decided on retirement
I think the NRL would look too limp if the penalty was reduced after all they're chest beating. Cant see it being reduced
