Moses turning 29 today, watching some of the mid 30s halves playing so well is a good sign for Mitch in the next 3-4 years. SJ Reynolds DCE ect all still playing great footy.

The problem was many halves got compared to JT and Cronk so were rated as not any good and the search was on for young half to turn into the next star including Moses who had to much expectations on him and not enough experience around him to let him learn.
Every developing half should have quality experienced half like Maloney was for Cleary for first couple years. Clubs have experimented with young half pairings destroying careers. Even though Cleary was a 7, Maloney controled the team for first couple years of Cleary career.
Moses is probably a few years behind in his development due to playing in shit tigers and eels team for few years without a quality half to learn from. I think he still has improvement in him for controlling the tempo of the game and leadership skills which we will see over next couple years especially now his life off the field is settled with a baby.
Like Shaun Johnston, Moses has relied on his Speed but is learning not to force the play and pick the right opportunities to run. Moses is also a lot more willing to get tackled now where he appeared scared in previous years. I would have prefered someone like Reynolds to mentor Dylan then Moses but moses might be perfect mentor for Sanders in 2-3years if we can piss Dylan off.

I agree Moses best footy is still to come. Just hope we can get some strike weapons around him especially on the wings. Brown does have the potential to be the best 6 in the comp hopefully the off field stuff is buried now!

It reminds me of the fact that Aaron Rodgers spent his first three NFL seasons as a backup to Brett Favre despite being a first round pick QB. He's a four time MVP, Super Bowl winner, multiple All Pro, but he still maintains the 3 years as a backup learning from a legend made him as a player.
And why would we want to get rid of Dylan ?

Yeah Dylan is "untouchable" 🤣. Just please pull ya head in Dyl and play to your potential lol. I see him as a Kiwi version of Munster once he reaches his peak.

Well how does anyone know that Ethan Sanders isn't worse when it comrs to off field behaviour ?
He could make Corey Norman look like a thorough professional by comparison for all we know.

From all reports Sanders is off to Raiders so I'm sticking with Dylan and Moses.

Josh Lynn is good as well, Eels must make sure that we keep him. We can't let another junior player with skills to go to another club.
Well Dylan's already made Norman look like a thorough professional and he's only starting. Let's hope he's learn't his lesson this time otherwise we are in for a very bumpy ride if he lasts his 15 year contract..

Happy birthday Mitch, looking forward to seeing what you can do with the Eels over the next few years.
Take on the line more often (don't force it), it's one of your best weapons.
Hopefully guiding Dyl as well. 6 and 7 locked in for years is a good feeling lol.
