Howdy folks, just reading Cooper johns is looking for a new job and also Wakeham. Do we need a back up 7 or are you guys comfortable with Asi as a backup to both halves ?. Imo one of those 2 named above on a dirt cheap deal as backup would be wise.

I wouldn't waste a Top 30 spot on either of them.
Yeah would just be for depth incase one or both halves are unavailable. Like this season with Matto at 5/8 isn't ideal lol. Maybe Johns can get a train and trial I'm not sure
Asi is going ok and will only get better with more game time. Thought he and Dylan Brown worked well against the Panthers

Not really. Unfortunately there is a distinct shortage of quality halves in the game, that's why we lost Sanders. If you can get one young enough who looks pretty good they get snapped up.
A lot of them do go to England just to play so probably could also look for a back up there. But not sure on our top 30 spots atm
You're right Brett. The kicking game is so important that anyone who can do that and also play rugby league is worth plenty. There's just not many players who can kick a ball and also defend at NRL standard.
We lost Saunders because our reserve grade is stacked with talent lol
I don't think he's going to Canberra to play reserve grade. The Raiders offer would be $300k or more. He is only going to get better.
Asi is better then both of them. Just some defensive issues that he needs to fix up in the off-season
