Halves Coach

Do we have one, or even a part-time consultant?

I really think Moses is trying his ass off, but needs a specialist/experienced half to guide him.

As for Norman, his game is shot and going backwards. The less said the better. I would drop him to Wenty and keep him there until he asks for a release. $750k can be better spent elsewhere.

Is BA solely responsible for "block play, after block play" midfield bombs and generally having SFA idea of what to do in the oppositions red zone? Our attack is rudderless and predictable.

As for David Kidwell's appointment, lets just say it was not BA's doing. Maybe he doesn't like the fact that Kidwell smells a little like an interim coach for 2018 if he keeps failing.

How many more losses are needed until the club is backed into a corner and must axe him? We would be the laughing stock of the NRL yet gain if he kept his job but delivered a wood spoon this season.

Is BA insecure in his coaching ability and future that he refuses to have anyone on his staff who could remotely be a threat to his position? Like a specialist halves coach with NRL experience.

Up until Kidwell's forced appointment, there was absolutely no one on his staff who could of been appointed interim coach if he was sacked. Can you name one? I'm sure this is not just a coincidence. The grey fox is smarter than he looks.

Can you name another NRL team who would be in the same predicament if the coach was sacked mid-year?

  • Have to agree again Bert your spot on mate!

  • It looks that way Bert but do we know the full story regarding the coaching budget etc?

I would like to think that the club isn't that stingy but its no coincidence that after 6 straight losses Kidwell makes an appearance as an assistant. Either Bernie was desperate to avoid any criticism or he forced BAs hand and gave him one.

BA does not look like a man worried about his job - look at yesterdays presser if you need proof.

  • Spot on. It makes me wonder how our standards have decreased. You only have to remember 2010 and they sacked Daniel Anderson after he got us to the gf the year before. Our form in that early start of the season was nothing compared to the abysmal nature of our current team.
  • Actually think mosses should go to 5 8th

    • X2 - he’s a running 5/8th IMO.

  • Is there such thing as a coach coach?

  • Noddy ..was a very short term back coach preseason last year...get him back...

  • Best plan for eels is bring Kimmorly in as halves coach.
  • surely a forwards coach is needed first, as they play in any position and don't have a clue what to do. Perhaps thye can also work on marker defence.
