There is a reason halfbacks get huge money. They are required to control the play, set up the plays, set tone, make split second decisions, etc etc. Good halfbacks are few and far between.
I realise Jennings shouldn't have thrown that pass and I also realise with a bit of luck Ferguson catches it, runs away for the win. But the sole reason we were in that position and why our backs had a combined brain fart was because Moses failed with his kick selection. These teams were going at each other and we're somewhat evenly matched (on the score board at least), had we swapped Moses and Morgan for the final 20 minutes maybe we go closer to winning that game.
I don't have an answer though, I don't know what Moses is thinking. I don't know what halfbacks are available. Perhaps we have no choice but to stick with him and hope he comes good. Sad times.

I thought Moses had turned the corner, but now seeing the same old, same old weaknesses creepng back into his game. Hell, he stiffened up his defence in the early games and and now that is even slipping back. Not going to write him off yet, but he needs to take control as he claims he wanted to. He is not doing that. As I have said in other posts, his bombs and kicking variety need to be changed up. IMO, we most defintely need a specialist coach for our halves.
Not writing him off? How much time do you want to give him?
Hire a halves coach like every other decent team. You can tell the kid has potential, why not invest and build him up.
Yeah i dont think we should write him off either. Partly because there is no one else available but also because he does bring some good things to our side that other players would not. He is particularily good when his forwards are on top. In the tigers game i would have preferred Moses over Morgan, but yeah, in games like tonight moses fails.
Sad thing is Fong your are probably right, not sure who is the bigger fraud, Arthur or Moses?
The bombs are crap options if chasers are never in position to compete, but I feel our forwards have to step it up to get him the field position. I watch time and time again, we'll struggle to make it 40 out in our set. Meanwhile the opposition will be carving up our middle defence or their forwards steamrolling us.. So it's not just a matter of if we switch Moses and Morgan outcome is different, switch forwards and the outcome will be greatly different too.
Inconsistent footballer. Has the occasional nice game, but can’t sustain it.
Hold on a sevond, let’s be honest here and put in proper perspective, he has been the only half and single point of attack since Dylan brown got injured.
if Dylan brown was playing 6 it’s a different ball game as we would have genuine options to threaten both sides of the ruck. Salmon and Smith are passengers out there and take no pressure of Mitchell which every 7 needs.
We need another big bopper like George Burgess and if we definitely missed Menninger and Siva.
You reckon Morgan (an origin half) outplayed Mitchell tonight? Morgan was fkn hopeless and lost out there he fkd up every single play. There monster forward pa k one then that game. Give Mitchell that forward pack, he would tear the opposition to shreds. Fuk we love laying the boot boys settle down a bit!
Agree Morgan didn't do much. But in that final 15 mins players like Morgan, Cronk, Green, Townsend more often than Moses find the correct kick.
Moses certainly has his strengths though and is NRL level. But he's on big coin and he found the wrong kick tonight in those late exchanges. As a mere fan on a fan forum I'm simply calling it for what it is.
