Every week as the parramatta eels run on to the field we are treated to Gutho's latest hair/beard experimentation. He's on about his 5th version of the Game of Thrones inspired hair/beard combo, and appears to have landed on the man bun for a while, so be it. But then last week when I saw he's gone the freshly shaven, undercut shave up the side and back I realized it's reached a tipping point. I don't like to think of footballers primping and preening for too long in front of the mirror each week, keeping us all guessing as to their newest hair/beard creations. I don't want to be dazzled by hair styles and groovy mosutaches. I know the players like their signature do's; mullets, mop tops, blonde tops, mo's and man buns. But perhaps they should be limited to one or two style changes per season. Every week Gutho is trying a new look, and although I'm a huge fan of him as a player, I'm not a big fan of his constant make-overs. I'm concerned we're only a week or two away from the double bun and fu man chu mo. This is a crucial time of the season. Less outer expression, more inner resolve. Thanks mate.
