Ha seriously the guy is pure guts and loyalty about time some appreciate those rare qualities
No hate, we just don't think he is worth the big money anymore. If he is willing to stay longer on a significantly reduced contract than that's fine. My issue with gutho is I believe he is a poor captain, that's just my opinion, you can disagree.
I dont think anyone hates Gutho. He is the absolute all guts, follow me leader, the heart beat and soul of our team. Dont get things mixed up JB. He is all those things and should be in the 17 somewhere. Its also a fact acknowledged by the man himself, his knees are not standing up to the fullback role, he has slowed, he does loose the game plan at times and he throws wayward passes at times. He is no longer a 900k player that we are paying off the cap.
Everyone loves the king. He was never ever a genuine comp winning fullback. Now his older he doesn't have it in his legs to play fullback. He still had a place in the squad but it's may not be fullback anymore. IMO a perfect 14
He'd be a fantastic 14 capable of really upping the tempo of the match. reckon he'd be match winner. We haven't had one of those since Kenny.

I just don't think we have the troops to be able to afford to have our second highest player on the bench. We already have Paulo occupying that gravy train. I'd rather see him sitting on the wing or centre.
I still think people are being a bit wishful about this 1 game wonder that we've bought just slotting into a fulltime fullback role.
Lomax FB Guts centre don't tell me that doesn't improve us greatly already Wiz. Can the new guy play wing? We will be losing two come origin time anyway the new guy will get his chance and Guts will be invaluable then.
our back ups have had some experience this year thankfully we have some who can step in as needed too.
need to lock Guymer up now.
Guts next contract won't bust the bank. Besides hope maybe appropriate TPA for Guts is highly likely? If his manager can't drum up a legit one for him then there is no such thing as a legit TPA (as per Hayne at the time)
