Gus takes aim at dubious Gutherson try-saver
Gus Gould questioned if a Clint Gutherson try-saver should have handed Melbourne a penalty try. Phil Gould questions Clint Gutherson act in Parramatta Eels' clash with Melbourne Storm in NRL - Seriously, does Gould hate the Eels or what?

Just trying generate some controversy. It"s what he does in his media gigs.
Who cares, that's just Gould's opinion. My opinion is that Gus should go slam his head in a door.... but some may disagree with that ...
Looks like he already has, but I don't disagree
The one where he used his hands to knock the ball out of Munster's hands? How is that a penalty?
No the earlier try where he reckons Gutho use his right leg. There was a clip in the comment but couldn't copy it. The video ref said the ball was placed just short of the line but Gutho's right leg looks like it simultaneously lodges it out.
Pretty sure the rule was desgned to stop defenders sliding in feet first when trying to stop the ball being grounded.
IMO Gutho didn't do that, he inadvertently stopped the ball with his knee in his genuine and legal attempt.
You mean like Billy used to, often
Exactly. Another rule introduced to stop yet another Storm grub play.
I was thinking exactly the same thing Slugg. Who said great minds don't think alike?
I believe that was the clear no try from Tui Kamikamica.
Guth got his leg in the right spot and there was nothing illegal about it.
If it had of been Ryan Papsmear that did it old Gould would have called it the try saver of the century and flopped it out and went to town on himself.
