  I'd be inclined to put French on the wing and Gutho back to fullback. French is just not creating much at fullback and could be much more dangerous on the wing.

  Gutherson was very bad last night. 5 missed tackles, two seven tackle restarts, some fragile goal line defence - his worst game to date.

    While that was a rough outing, I don't think we can criticise him too much - he's been arguable our best/most consistent this year

  The ball always dies in French's hands. He never looks to pass and always tries to be a hero. At least the Guth sets up plays from the back and is always in support.

  When French runs across field near the opposition line they shit themselves. He just needs to learn to read the defence and drop the right player back under (or dummy and go himself). It won't lead to a try every week - no fullback sets up a try every game - but it will happen more often as he gains experience. French is 21 years old with eight first grade games at fullback. He will be an absolute gun inside the opposition 20. As for rucking it out of our half, that's what we have wingers for.

    They certainly stand off him he has them on their heels. We don't use his skills well enough , deft kicks are made for French.
    My one criticism of French is he doesn't do enough in support, he has to do more to be in a position for an offload. He's unstoppable in broken field.
