GUTHERSON IS CONFIDENT OF LIFTING THE PARRAMATTA EELS TO AN ACCEPTABLE DEBT TO REVENUE RATIO BY NEXT WEEK.
Parramatta’s versatile utility Clint Gutherson will be shifting from fullback to the role of Chief Executive Officer this week according to an Eels press release.
“Clint just does such a great job wherever you put him and the club wants a little bit more stability in the boardroom so we thought we’d slot him into the CEO chair for a few weeks,” Eels coach Brad Arthur said.
“He’s only been there for 24 hours and he has already downsized our debt by 43% and grown our fanbase to unprecedented levels – when Bernie Gurr comes back from holiday he may find it hard to displace Gutho.”
Although he has no formal training in running a major sporting organisation, Gutherson says he’s just happy to do what is best for the club.
“Yeah mate I generally take on any role Arthur gives me so I’ve been watching plenty of docos on business and am already most of the way through an MBA I started last night,” Gutherson said this morning.
According to Parramatta executives, Gutherson gave a man of the match presentation in his first official boardroom meeting.
