Listening to 6 tackles with Gus podcast, Gus said on monday night Sam Ayoub rang him and said Eels have never given Gutho a deadline on his contract and that he has not asked for a fourth year to the contract. However Guth has had offers from other clubs and have had deadlines placed on those. I assume Manly is one as they would want to know what to do with Walker. Not sure what is taking so long to get it done if this is the case. Maybe he was waiting on BA signing. Gus was told that Guth wants to stay with the Eels. Lets hope its sorted by Friday

Guts really needs to sack this bloke! He needs to learn from this absolute balls up and the damage done to his credibility.
Maybe guth is getting paid by news to hold of signing so they can write articles about it for a couple more weeks

This Gutho saga is becoming another PARRAMATTA EMBARRASSING moment, this has been going on since November.
Well if other clubs have set a deadline, should be no problems with Parra doin the same.
Let me interpret
Guth will be signing the three year deal within the deadline set by the Eels
But I do not want it to look like I back down in negotiations because this will be bad for my future. So please let people know that we never asked for the four year contract that we asked for and that the deadline set by the Eels never existed.
