guru to stay for next year

he guys i was just watching fox sports news and they interviewd eric grothe and eh said he hasnt got back any offers from overseas so he said he will most likely stay an eel for season 2010

    Bloody hell some fans are hard on this bloke for me he has been the form winger of the comp all year!!

    Yep the bloke does have defensive issues but IMO the bloke has never had a better year and would be in my starting line up everyday!!!

      Couldn't agree more, this guy was one of the standouts of the GF for Parra. I for one am stoked he's staying another year.....
      look out 2010...... the Eels will be hungry.....

    Glad as well he is staying on.. We need his experience as well as the hard yards he makes... Bet no one wanted him gone when he was running away with that intercept against the dragons???

    Yeah I'm happy about this. It gives DA a (good) selection headache for the backline next year in trying to balance Hayne, Inu, Burt, Tahu, Reddy and Grothe.

      how do you fit that super 6 into 5 spots? cause you can make a strong arguement for all of them to get a start. would you start one of them on the bench? I really only se this as a selection headache when all players are fullfit and there is no rep duty. But i'm pretty sure at some stage next year one of them atleast will get injured and having the extra backline depth will really keep our team strong. 2010 looking good!
