Not only do you have to settle the financial side of things, but you will likely have some pain and suffering as a result, not to mention the time and effort involved with moving on with your life and finding another lady.
You want restitution for your pain and suffering and the time lost on your life's journey of love. You also have come to expect a certain standard of living that has now been ripped from you.
Tip: Engage a lawyer. Don't just go along with the demands her lawyer comes up with.
Better living Tip:
Instruct your lawyer that you wish to ensure a fair settlement and that half of everything is fair. In fact, to cover all the emotional damage, you want half of the hair on her head. Literally. Front/back/left/right doesn't matter. You want to be there to shave her head.
This will:
a) ease your pain and suffering somewhat, as everyday you think about her you will be laughing
b) the time it takes for it to grow back is the time it will take for you to find another partner
c) help you sleep as you have the familiar hair smell nearby
