Guarding Angel #6

As 95% of members on this site believe that they can tell the future, I feel that I am entitled to one speculation!  If Canterbury win against Penrith  tonight--and I will be watching the referees closely tonight!---I predict that Isac Luke of Souths will be charged by the judiciary and will be found guilty and so will miss the Grand Final!! This, of course, will help Canterbury no end to win the Grand Final.  Williams` head never hit the ground. He landed on his elbow!! Come on Penrith, confound these forces of evil.

  • Bulldogs will win tonight and even in the crowd with a bigger supporter base. Sorry.
  • Rob im certain the NRL would be wanting a souths GF win, souths GF Win would be a dream for them.

    • The NRL did kick the bunnies out of the comp and didnt want to let them back in. Souths forced their way back in against NRL wishes. You don't think the NRL may still be carrying some sour grapes towards souths? League fans have long memories and i'm sure if souths win the GF that a lot of their fans will have one middle digit finger reserved for the NRL. If they don't win it i rekon there will be a few quiet fingers been raised behind doors at NRL head quarters.

  • He should be charged anyway, hand between the legs, lifted, dangerous position.
  • So you are saying that if the dogs lose Luke will be let off? I think he will be let off regardless of the dogs result.

  • Yep it feels like the dogs always get the rub of the green doesn't it.
Wouldn't surprise me if Luke gets suspended.
Conspiracy theories are great. If you throw enough of them up some end up having legs. This one IMO has legs.
    •  Frank, there are conspiracy theories and there are conspiracies. They are two different birds. In the commissions into the sinking of HMAS Sydney I had to deal with many, many conspiracy theories. Most of them were out of this world. Some of them took years to disprove so elaborate were they. Others seemed simple and true until evidence showed otherwise. Then there were one or two genuine conspiracies. They were the more interesting because they were rejected by the authorities!  Professor of philosophy K Popper said "Conspiracy theorists permanently denigh themselves ever knowing the truth about any issue." I am not a conspiracy theorist! But I know a conspiracy when I see one.

  • It doesn't matter if his head never hit the ground, he was put in a dangerous position and with carry over points he willmost likely miss the GF.... There is a chance both teams will be without their hookers, depending how bad Ennis' injury is.

    •  Many players are put into dangerous positions, almost every match but the tacklers pull out before the player hits the ground. No penalties are given in that situation. But if the player tackled does hit the ground penalties are given and the tacklers put on report. Williams did hit the ground with his elbow not his head. Most players tackled who hit the ground land on there elbows. that is not considered dangerous.

  • I agree. F the dogs Robert.

I hope the bastards lose despite all the help from their Guarding Angel!!
