Greenburg on NRL 360

Two of the points that stood out to me were.1. If the team is brought under the cap but the board continues to fight in court then we wont be able to play for points. So if they stay in the club no matter what we can't play for points.2. He practically stated that if a club is keeping cap rorting that well hidden from the NRL. Then they wont be able to find it. They more or less need a whistle blower to uncover any systematic rorting. Kent asked why they didnt find it during their first review and greenburg said the above.Brisbane were brought up and he once again stated they can only find what they find.He was asked if other teams were cheating and he answered with "i am confident they know the ramifications of cheating" but didnt nessicarily say that he believes other clubs arnt cheating.Paul kent actually didnt kick us while we were down surprisingly enough. Also it seemed like if watmough retires it will bring ua under. Greenburg didnt come right out and say it however he said it may help bring them under.

  What Greenberg knows and what he can prove in respect of other clubs are two very different things. I think we all know certain clubs are better at "managing" the salary cap. Proving there is any wrongdoing is a completely different matter.
  
  For future reference of any incoming board members or staff, don't use any form of electronic communication if you are going to say something that shouldn't be said - catch up in person and have a coffee.

What a joke. As I said in another blog put up a reward to share in a million dollars for anyone dobbing in cheats. Put the heat on the NRL.

Yes, the whistle blower comment is really concerning. I've always believed that there is no point having rules that can't be enforced. Having said that I think Parra got what they deserved. Hopefully we can take the opportunity to have a complete overhaul of the management.

In other words the NRL has no way of policing their own rules. Who needs a governance review again? What's that saying about glass houses.

I have been in meetings all day and have not been able to be on here until now. So sorry if this has already been answered. #1 we lost all 12 points for playing a team this year whilst being over the cap? #2 if watmough retires we fit under the cap this year? And can therefore start playing for points? #3 if that's the case watmough has not played all year so why do we loose any points hasn't he been trying to retire all year?
