  Ben smith starting at lock? Is this the first his played in that position with Wenty this season? He definitely defends like a lock, very curious to see how he will go.

  @parra supporter, I think he played lock last weekend against the Tigers.
  I wonder who will play on the right side inthe halves. I think if the club views Matterson as a future first grader he will play on the right hand side of the field. I also think this will help Morgan a lot with his style of game as Matterson is a strong runner of the ball and knows how to throw a pass to a hole hitter.

    It is by no means definitive proof of where Matterson will play but Gorman did play on the left for Wenty when he got a few games earlier in the season.

    While playing on the right suits Matterson's preferred right boot it also severs his combination with Fabian Goodall...unless the club also plans to eventually switch Goodall to the right (which is further supported due to Radradra's incumbency on the left in first grade).

  The most telling appointment is 9. Ben Jones.

  @Fathead, Ben Jones has mainly played at hooker from the bench all year. I think he's only played a few times in the halves, possibly only once. He is not a first grade option imo.

    Hi Ham, I was hoping that Jones may have been another option for BA if Kelly fails to measure up. Even Foran looks like he won't make the grade. At the moment, looks like it's Kelly or trying out another forward at last resort, i.e. Sef, Edwards etc. I'm afraid not much cheer there.
