I see that D Alvero (spelling) is back in NSW CUP this week. I thought that he did well in the little that I saw of him in 1st grade. Has he been dropped or is Brad Arthur showing some sense at last in placing these young blokes? I have always said that you give them a dabble at 1st grade then send them back to their mates in a lower grade before they get injured. Give them a week to two or three back in the lower grades then give them another shot at 1st grade against some of the smaller teams. Not always possible so give them smaller minutes in that situation.

I think what Ron says is the real situation, however I do agree short spells slowly introducing will only benefit him long term. Give him a run or 2, praise him for the good stuff and give him stuff to go back and try to improve on before next 1st grade game. This is really is the best way to blood player imo. I saw some real quality in him, especially his leg drive hitting it up. However he did go a little quiet and missing at times. I definitely rate him though, if we can nurture him well he will be a great prospect
So in answer to your question we really have no idea whether good sense or bad sense because we know his decision was probably not in his hands due to salary cap garbage
timbodavo: That is a good explanation and answer. What I like about him is that for a front row forward he seemed willing to run a fair distance to tackle a player. I have always thought that that is a good sign in a forward.
Sticks and Stones : I hope we have a 1st grader in waiting, coming out of reserve grade.
Ron : That explains it well. Terepo look good in the short time I saw him. If he can hold the ball, definitely 1st grade material.
