Good omen

As I prepare to travel to Sydney from the Gold Coast for my annual eels game I remember the last time I was at Penrith park to watch an Penrith v eels game . It was 2010 and the eels were trailing 22 nil. It was about minus 1000 degrees , I had snot running down my face and seriously pissed off with the world . I was sitting with a few old mates from Sydney who happened to be panthers fans . They were giving it me and I said that's it one more try and I'm off to the club . What happened next was a master class from the best player in the world . That length of the field try by Hayne that put us in front is the best individual try I have ever seen live . I've been to a few games in Sydney since then but not back to Penrith . If we are ever going to have a turning point it needs to be now and who better to beat then our westie rivals . Let's hope it's a good omen . Go u mighty eels . Let's tear them panthers a new one . Cheers people

  • Hope you enjoy the game Glen, Penrith is a friendly ground and that game you mentioned was a cracker...........problem is we just don't have anyone with the sheer class of JH anymore. Hope we get up and make your trip a good one.

    • I don't know what Penrith ground you've been to but it is anything but friendly. Fat old men yelling at 10 year old kids that they hate Parramatta, the same group of men standing over families chanting at them but they will never do it to someone their size and will only do so when they have 10+ members in their group. Every year I've gone to Penrith since 2009 I've been in a verbal argument with at least 1 Panthers fan, the only other times I've been in verbal arguments have been at Leichhardt where Tigers fans were telling me and my parents to kill ourselves, and then up in NTH QLD in 2012.

  • Save you money glen don't come if you want to waste your money give it to me I see it go to a better place

  • enjoy the game Glenn, feel free to put a couple of beers on my TAB at Penrith Park.

  • Hope the game is as thrilling as that one was. An incredible game to see in person and one of the most dominant displays of football ever.

  • That try was crazy. Made a mockery of half the team.

    • Maybe you could use a disguise to get back in?
