It was a gritty win and lets face it most of us thought we would not come away with a W tonight.
Not so goods:
Hodgson - He looks his age out there, he is slow with his movement, his passes and pretty much everything. Getting rid of Reed was a bad choice, I really hope that Hands matures quickly and work him into longer time with hooker rotation. Hodgson isn't the answer long term. Best blood them now.
Outside backs - Look at the meters made by panthers outside backs tonight compared to ours. Penisini is great, solid all around. The rest of them are average at best.
Sivo has the potential but i dunno he just doesn't bend the line, hes slow in defence. Is he too big??
The good things:
We are starting to work as a team. I think once we get some momentum we are going to put many teams away this year and cement a top 8 position easily. Not sure we make 4 this year.
moses is the best half we could get and him signing and getting it done with allows him to focus on taking us deep into finals.
We have a fullback that plays with so much heart, i wouldnt swap him for anyone.

Are you serious? Glad you are not our coach as there is still work to do - the boys did great but almost blew it -not that you care as you're not an eels supporter but we keep humouring you for site hits anyway
A perfect game is a stretch, we let them back in on a number of ocasions. But very happy to win in the GF rematch. I thought Hands coming on made us better.

Nice post but I think you've been listening to Ennis blowing his old too much on fox about their outside backs --- who never made a line break or scored a try - we can go on and ok about them taking the ball up but at the end of the day they are there for attack
I think the not so good is ---
again our disorganisation at the crucial moments - at the end of the game that ball should have never gone to brown - much like the storm game.
we looked a little weak around the middle and we're lucky that soni like got hia
i thought we could have improvised a little more -in the first half Moses did great grubbers to simonson out wide - would have been good later in the match to do one to the centre as we had gotten Edwards to expect it to the wong

good points ---
resillience - I think all our heads hung when Cleary hit that ridiculous 2 point fg! It was a stark contrast about how 2 of the highest paid players in the game handle the last minutes. But the boys pushed on and got there
Completion and effort --- what a disciplined performance by the boys - really kept their game plan all the way through!
Our young guns - hopgood penisini hands... in shorthand "hop on penis hands" - great future in the club - all played really well
BA realising his bench - finally we have BA putting a proper bench together - the last few weeks he has had 4 forwards and this week selected Hands - he has been responsive to the matches which hasn't always happened

Yep congrats to BA for finally utilising his bench properly for the first time in ten years. At least he finally got the message.
