“Golden point” rules

Let me start by saying I HATE the golden point rule. Always have, always will. But something that makes it even more detestable is we drew our game at full time... the panthers lost their game at full time yet who is in front on the ladder. At the very least the for and against for both teams in an extra time game should be 0. It's ridiculous!

  • Golden point sucks. Should be golden try, it's a no-brainer.

  • I reckon a draw at the end of the game should result in Golden Showers .

Maybe a suggestion for the inevitable Pride Round .

  • I believe after 80 mins both teams should get 1 comp point for the draw.

Then the winner in golden point gets the extra comp point making it a Golden Point. It rewards the teams for the draw and opens up the competition that 1 point could decided 8th from 9th

    • Was going to say the same thing, how can you not reward the "losing team" after a golden point game. One little tweak to the rules would make it so much better for the "losing" teams fans. Both teams get a point and the golden time winner gets and extra point. So logical yet still hasn't been changed of course will next year after we probably miss the 8 by for and against lol

      • Brilliant idea and an absolute no-brainer. 1 point each at the end if a draw, then an extra point for golden point. PVL is an action man and should implement this immediately and back date it to start round 1.

    • Ditto this x1000

    • Yep I like it, I like it a lot.....

    • Totally agree. It's ridiculous that the draw after 80 isn't acknowledged through a point.

    • I like it also , but I'm still invested in golden showers being included somewhere.

      • That's for the pre season
