I really would love to see the Cowboys have a big win tonight. Watching the Broncos despairing on the field and then leaving it with the spoon is going to be incredibly enjoyable, hopefully.
I hate that team more than any other but I never thought they would go as badly as they have this season, they've conceded over a 100 more points than the 2nd worst team. I've even been cheering the Dogs on for the last 6 or 8 weeks but it was only last week they did the right thing. It would be very cruel to have this taken away from me now that it's so close but the Cowboys are playing like busted arses, too. So it's not a certainty.

So nice to see the Broncos add to their trophy cabinet. This team has every advantage under the sun just to please the tv ratings in Qld. The NRL needs them to be strong to rate high on tv so that they NRL has more bargaining power with tv deals. They are so well looked after it isn't funny.
The running of that club must be at an all time low.
It will be interesting to see the draw for next season given the QLD ratings have apparently fallen off a cliff due to Brisbane's bad form.

I think it's fair to say The Broncos deserved the spoon this year. Clearly the worst side in the NRL in 2020.
Unlike when the Knights, Eels, Titans etc get the spoon, I'm sure the NRL is doing everything they can to assist the Broncos and get them at least competitive once more. Ratings are vital after all.
Personally I don't see any difference to any other side that gets the spoon. If the competition is fair then the spoon should eventually be won by all clubs at some point. The reason for all this noise around the Broncos getting a spoon is because the competition is definitely not fair. There is no level playing field and one of the clubs with all the advantages imaginable just did the unthinkable. I hope they get it for a few more years in a row.
