Glen Stewert To The Eels

For those of you who are saying not to peruse him are you kidding me!!! You would rather Joseph Paulo and Ken Edwards as our lock over Glen?? Yes I do rate Ken but come on wake up and come back to reality. Glen Stewart has been an integral part of Manly's success he creates opportunities! He is a rep forward and I would be over the moon to have him. Bring him and Jamie Buhrer here immediately both have held permanent spots in a finals team over the last 10 years. Both are very successful players and would add so much to our pack.

  • HES TO OLD AND INJURY PRONE!

  • Far better then any second row/lock that we have.
  • His heart lies with the grubs

  • Do you really think we should be throwing big bucks at a 30yr old backrower? It would be much better spent on a prop and depending on how Sandow goes we may need to chase a halfback.
  • Let's face it we need as many high profile signings as we can get. The dream you all have of getting a star half back and prop isn't going to happen. Now I see a serious chance of getting Glenn who IS A STAR FORWARD. So I am all for getting him. Cause I want to win and I want my eels to win and we just aren't cutting it. Bring back the final glory days
    • The Glory days where filled with local talent we mad not bought. ..
  • I think you need to read your own line "Both have held permanent spots in a finals team over the last 10 years". What does that tell you? Do you think Manly would just let a key member of their team walk? Wouldn't they try to keep him? Obviously they think he is past his used by date too if they willing to let him go.

I'd rather get younger long term players, than sign someone in their 30s near the end of their career.

  • He's a good player but he's getting old and is an expensive short term solution when we should be looking at the larger picture
  • And yet you all wanted Luke oddonel, Sam Moa, even Kevin Kingston who are ALL at the end of their careers.
    • i wanted sam moa he crushed us last week. Glen stewart is a talented footballer i would put him in out team any day

"Seems it is Galvin's role at Dogs that is the issue, not necessarily Galvin per se? Galvin permanently replaced Sexton at #7 for Dogs in Round 20 of 2025. After 19 rounds going into Round 20, Dogs were 3rd (12 wins, 4 losses, 3 byes; 366 (f) vs 270…"

Nitram replied to Parra-all-the-way's discussion Did eels dodge a bullet with Galvin?
"Yeah they won 70% of the twenty games prior to Galvin's arrival and only 50% in the twenty games since he arrived. It is all Gus' fault. He needs to admit he made a mistake. Everyone else is already thinking it so he needs to man up and admit it.…"
