Get set for a long few weeks

Well that game tonight felt like it wouldn't end. Kinda sums up the back half of the year effort is there but the effort isnt enough.I think there is worse to come in next few weeks every team we will play except the dragons have something to play for it is possible that we won't win another game this season its going to be a very long few weeks. In saying that i have no doubt that BA will demand that they put in each and every game we have a team to be proud of.Don't worry everyone this season will be over soon

  • Scott back and we don't concede as many, Jennings and Semi back and we score more.

I think we'll win more than we lose the last 5
    • If we get a commited semi is another question
    • Semi will be fine (providing he doesn't end up guilty in the off-field stuff). He'll get his increased contract with an upgrade for the remaining season and be a happy camper
  • No mate. We are down on troops. As comment above says Scott & Jennings back next week, Semi possibly the week after
  • In the presser, BA said mannah was the only player in our top ten earners on the field tonight.
    • Our forwards try hard but, as I keep saying, are just too small to make a huge impact against bigger packs, and Tigers have a big pack. How good is Aloili(?), a Parra junior, in Tigers back row and we let him go?

  • If we can get Scott and Jennings back, and when Ma'u comes back, and if we can keep centers playing in the centres, our edge defense won't be so leaky. No team has got us through the middle (isolated breaks but we otherwise force teams to go around us). So our defense should make us competitive, and then the question is whether we can manufacture enough points? There, I have my doubts. We also have to manufacture enough points to secure leads against teams with a finals spot to play for, and I think we will struggle. Overall, we should get ourselves into the contests on the back of good defense, but will we frustrate ourselves into error and poor field position via clunky attack?

"The PNG national squad always does OK, plus the grassroots are already established. Plus, the entire country loves the game. I'd be more optimistic of PNG fielding a compettiive side over Perth. "

"Need way more than that, majority of the players signed would be their depth. Even that is rubbish. As Johnny mentioned too, juniors will be hard to come by.
Look at their last two signings. Sorensen and Talakai. Sorensen is a fine signing for…"
