Geoff Toovey unaware of Kieran Foran’s $4.7 million, four-year deal to leave Manly and join Parramatta
MANLY star Kieran Foran is reportedly set to announce he has signed a four-year, $4.7 million contract with Parramatta but coach Geoff Toovey says it is news to him.
Toovey was a guest on NRL360 on Wednesday night and insists he is unaware of any deal.
“I saw Kieran today and he is the type of guy that would tell me what is going on. I am unaware of it,” Toovey said of the reported deal.
Seven News is reporting that Foran made the decision to leave the Sea Eagles on Tuesday and, according to NRL360 host Paul Kent, is poised to make his decision public after the weekend.

“There is a feeling that the club is no longer what it was,” Kent said on NRL360 on Wednesday night.
“It’s a football reason. It’s not a money reason. My understanding was he was trying to hold onto it until next week.
“Clearly there was money there from Jarryd Hayne leaving. Parramatta are a rich club and do well with third parties.”

Foran is currently sidelined with a hamstring injury and expected to miss the next two games.
On Friday, in another massive blow to Manly, halfback Daly Cherry-Evans announced he was leaving the Sea Eagles to join the Gold Coast Titans next season.
However, the two clubs are reportedly in talks to possibly expedite the transfer this season.
