Current Parramatta board director and former player Geoff Gerard appeared on Triple M's Deadset Legends this morning to answer questions regarding the salary cap.
He spoke across a wide range of issues with his most notable points being:
- We need constitutional reform and we need it now.
- We need to sign Brad Arthur to a long-term deal now.
- He questioned both Spagnolo and Sharp in board meetings regarding salary cap issues.
- Gerard will cop it sweet if he is not re-elected.
- "We have to put our factional fighting in the past. It's been six or seven years of this and it has to stop. We will be a powerhouse so long as everyone gets on and looks at supporting their club, not themselves."
I was very impressed with Gerard's interview and in my opinion he should be the interim chairman until we can sort this mess out. He said, currently an interim chairman won't be installed until Sharp and co. have responded to their breach notice. Finally someone on the board gets that we need constitutional reform and that we need to bury the hatchet in order for our club to have a fighting chance at silverware.

Do you like anyone?
Frank loves he's dentist, Frankie uses the same dentist as Steve Sharp, i bet hes even has the same dentist tools in their mouths.
Im tipping Geoff will be the new chairman, Geoffs a top bloke, every time ive met him ive come away thinking what a warm and nice bloke he is, he is the pick of the bunch that is left BUT the rest of the current board needs to go for a clean slate, they wont be elected next elections and are counter constructive now.
Lets hope they stay right away from Bevan Paul and give Bevan the power so he can do he's job without being interfeared with.
The others, well they need to step down now.
