With the noise around Corey Norman leaving before his contract expires and assuming Mitchell Moses is staying with the club, it has got me thinking about our halves moving forward.
As many others have stated, i think Mitch is more of a natural 5/8 which led me to thinking who would be an ideal halves partner & for me, someone who i feel is somewhat of a forgotten man is Troy Dargan.
TD to me was a natural halfback with all the attributes to be a genuine 7. His game wasn't flashy, he talked well, led the lads around the park and kicked well. He was never given a chance at Parra & i think spending some time away and in the Broncos system may have done him the world of good.
Dargan was always a good kid off the field and i have never heard anything to suggest he was a lazy trainer or had a poor attitude. Might be time to bring him back to the Eels & have a Dargan/Moses combo.
Thoughts?

We have Dylan Brown now, no need.
He's still very young, possibly a year or two off yet.
How young is Dylan?
Cleary - Born 14 November 1997 (age 20) Debuted 2016 at 19
Brooks - Born 21 December 1994 (age 23) Debuted 2013 at 18
Moses - Born 16 September 1994 (age 23) Debuted 2014 at 19
Dylan's 18 I think. Played Australian schoolboys last year.
Different halves progress at different rates. Cooper Cronk debuted off the bench at the age of 20 and didn't have a full-time starting position until he was 22.
DCE didn't debut until he was, what 22 ?
He was waiting for his neck to fully grow.
Never seen brown play ? Who would he compare to in playing style albeit a while off . Just trying to gauge what sort of playmaker he would be
We got a small old pack we need big young forwards
Everyone taking about buying wingers hooker 5/8 half backs we need forwards
