Gap Year for Hayne

With the U.S getting the nod soon to field a league team do you think 2019 Hayne will be targeted?

  • Because the USA is super close to where his kid will be residing...
  • Hayne is 0 chance of going back overseas especially now he has a daughter. Besides if he performs with us he’ll finish his career as an Eel
  • He is being targeted
  • No - I think Hayne's absolute goal is to give back to the Parramatta club and earn a new contract.
I bet he'd also want to play in front of 30000 screaming fans at the upcoming WS stadium.

The emotion he showed towards Parramatta when he initially signed for the Titans was something not many players have towards a single club. It's not a business for Hayne.
    • True and he will perform just to give his bestie a premiership before he retires !!!
  • Of course he will be targeted he would be ideal to promote the game there. If it is a gap year so the heck what? If he goes after that and makes a packet full all the best of luck to him. He is taking a $700k hit to be here next year. Who would do that?
He is coming back to where he wanted to be a year ago, helps us to be a genuine top 4 chance. He is as free as any other young Aussie to decide what they do with their lives
  • No Brett think its unfinished business mate. Think it's the best thing to do when a bad decision makes you feel so obviously unhappy with no mojo. Repent and make things well :))

My son lives in NY he finds it hard to believe it'd be possible, little average and all. But if they want to build the game who better than the well known Aussie guy for a coupla years?
  • Haha sorry I'm still dizzy from the news :)
Yeah we agree. Can't believe we got him for the price fongy suggested awhile back good on him...he probs listened to his mum this time ;)
  • Don’t think Hayne will go back to the USA!
  • wish he had of stayed in states and never came back, maybe the titans do as well,

Perhaps this was final straw and thought this would be last year anyway as no other clubs showing interest."
