"I think 80 mins is pushing the limits for a young hooker. Riley can do it, but probaby shouldn't do it too often, especially the way he plays. He's got that Gutho energy that won't stop. I get the feeling he'd happily run himself into the ground if…"

Well, the proof is in the pudding I think EM.
THe job BA did on Broncos has made people more interested in BA's coaching style, even though we seemed to get it wrong for the 15 mins of the game.
I suppose the test is when we play Melbourne again. I think BA has the nouse to do it. Have we got the cattle? yes, I think we have.
I think BA is still learning his trade at First Grade level, however, I believe he has moved from the bush coach to an NRL coach last year and I believe he will become a great FG coach cause he had to build his own roster from the ground up, and not with the leg up that some the coaches have in the NRL regarding rosters and their salary sombreros.
What has happened in the last two weeks is that they have played with discipline. Stopped trying to score off every set and as a result have minimsed the errors.
Also we have Terepo and Vave back from injury and to further strengthen our forwards BA has gone with 4 forwards on the bench at the expense of the utility. This has led to our forwards being far more dominant throughout the game
All this on top of our halves having spent time together and are performing as a unit as opposed to two halves
There is no doubt in my mind that BA is a very good coach and has driven the improvement in the squad. Whilst he has been responsible for the improvement in the Eels. The players have played their part but it has been driven by the coach and his staff.
Bellamy is a very good coach. Whilst he has had the luxury of a champion spine to work with for about 10 years he has rebuilt the team around them a number of times using Journeyman and young stars
I think that we will see the best of this Eels squad in 2019 when we will have the younger player's with more experience and a few more recruits
John Eel: If BA is given the responsibility of the Eels 'surge' at this stage of the season, it is in order to give him responsibility of the four consecutive losses produced earlier in the season. It seems as though we will make the eight this season, if not the four, ,although nothing is written in stone, it is the first time the coach has has done that in three years of coaching. One swallow does not make a summer. There is no such thing as a great coach, they don`t exist, take Hasler and Mcguire (Mag) as examples, both deemed great coaches universally by the NRL fans and the media. Both on a million dollar salary--yet look at them now! Coaches get money for jam. If the NRL is going to reduce their salaries, it is a good thing. Don`t see it happening though.
I hope Brad paid a LOT of attention to the way the Cows took the game to Storm.
Treat them with disrespect and hammer them mercilessly, they will drop their bundle.
That's how we beat the Bronx.
Apart from that you are on the money imo.
New combination that is coming into its own - committed forward pack PLUS we are no longer depending on just ONE player to make things happen - we are playing as a team.
