Game Day show bags

Trying to promote families to game day and atmosphere in general.NZ rugby give out free ( show bag ) to the kids when accompanied by paying adults. Now it hasn’t got to be much eg: blow up finger, hat, poster etc.why can’t Parra start something special and promote families to our club games.

  • rEELdEEL : It`s a pertinent point that you make . Years ago when Bernie K, our now CEO, was in America he came back to OZ, I think on holidays. He was on the ABC Sunday league coverage. He revealed that in America Football Games dolls of various sorts were given out free to children who had their parents with them at the games. According to Bernie some games had a 16% rise in attendances as a result. At that time I took it up with the Eels administration  ( Fitzgerald`s time!), they showed some interest but nothing was done --except I got freeby to a game!. Bernie might now be interested in doing the same. But I feel that when he went back to the states interest may have wained.   The principle is good though--to get parents at a game-- get their children to come!

  • Its a good idea.

    • They might even make a Timmy doll just for you snake

  • The simple ideas are usually the best ones.

  • I think if the kids are interested from a young age they’re a supporter for life. Win win for Parra and the NRL. The kids can have their gear signed by their heroes simple stuff really.
    • 100% great idea.
Our club should really start preparing themselves with ideas such as this one and have plans in place for when we start playing at our new 30,000 seat stadium. No harm in testing the idea THIS SEASON or during the finals at the latest.. Start making contracts with the companies that will be manufacturing the goodies that will be going into the supporter bags.
We want our Parramatta NRL Club membership numbers to keep rising so that we've got at least 30,000 ticketed members so that our home games will be full of nothing but Blue & Gold supporters.

I'm sure there are people who are employed to look after stuff like that, but there can never be too many ideas on how we can improve our game day experience.

We should be aiming at making our new home ground (when it opens in 2019) the ABSOLUTE BEST GAME DAY EXPERIENCE IN AUSTRALIAN SPORT. And fans throwing ideas to our club can only be a good thing.

      In fact, it'll be GREAT.

Great for the fans and their game day experience.

Great for our club money wise with constant sellout home crowd attendances.

Great for our team playing in front of 30,000 fans every home game.

And great for the NRL competition overall.

There will be so many players from other NRL clubs who will want to play for our club and dream of having all their career milestones celebrated at our magnificent new stadium.

      Great thinking "rEEL dEEL" ;)

  • Great idea man.
  • Id line up for 3 days for one Stew.

"Maybe I didn't phrase my comment well post 2026. To be honest I'm not getting too hung up on the storm and what may or may not happen. I'd take Harry Grant or Cameron Munster off their hands, but we all know realistically that ain't happening. If…"

"Absolutely, all that stuff that's gone on goes in our favour with the judge in making his determination.
I don't think we're being vindictive at all towards Lomax. We just want to be adequately compensated for our loss which is a fair enough…"
