I am 72 in receipt of a blind pension. Went to at least 6 games last year,$35 ticket and $25 chicken schnitzel. My daughter and grant children had a great family day
Now to watch the first game vs bulldogs its now a game day membership, my ticket is now $87. I cannot afford it.
The club advised me today it may change closer to the game. So maximize the the rip off

Does this apply if you have paid for ticketed membership already?
If you are a non-ticketed member then I can see why the club wants to maximise revenue from these high demand games
Sure, it's a rip off in general terms but it's also beneficial to the footy club revenue stream and helps us be stronger into the future by not relying on leagues club grants as much as we used to.
I am also wondering, because you are blind, are these prices for the worst seats (I know - there are no bad seats supposedly) and does it matter where you sit?
Have you contacted the club to see if they can do something for you because of your situation?
If all else fails, if you can't afford these games, there are other less in demand games you could attend if you are really keen on being at the ground.
You're blind ? For $10 I will let you come over and listen to the match and charge you $25 for a Snitty and $12 a light beer. Ill even throw in a parking experience free of charge and let you park 12kms from my joint and walk in. The experience is free , just need $50 for the parking spot.

I agree with your vibe 571, it is no longer the working mans sport, and taking kids is brutal, but that is some funny shit
