Game 2

For me heading into game two we have 2 changes

1 Moylan

2 Ferguson

3 Jenko

4 Jmoz

5 Mansour

6 Maloney

7 Reynolds

8 Woods

9 Farrah

10 Tamou

11 Jackson

12 Cordner

13 Gallner

14 Frizzel in - walker out

15 Graham in - Bird out

16 Klemmer

17 Fafita

In the backs It's still got me stumped how Laurie wouldn't pick the fast bloke in the NRL for a spot Roberts.

The only reason i haven't put him in is because these two lads on the wings did their job without being excellent.

  • I'd pick the same side except
I would pick Ennis at 9
    And Cartwright to replace walker
    • There's no point changing to much if you pick a side for game 1,you pretty much got to stick with it, we only lost by 2
      We can bounce back
    • my changes as well  carl

  • You are a man of immense intellect and rare thought.

  • Why do we pick the same weak forwards every year? Gallan, Bird, Tamou, Woods, Farrah, Jackson are not up to origin standard. We have lost 9 out of 10 series because we keep picking the same players that are good at doing nothing special.
    • There was no going forward up the middle. How many times did the forwards just stand there motionless when the ball was passed around in the QLD 30m? We need these guys to put pressure on the defence and have a fullback who can take advantage of that and make a break through the middle (JH, are you busy on 22nd June?). That way we get blokes like Jennings and Morris/Dugan into the clear. It's the same old stuff from NSW - very predictable. We aren't going to beat them playing like the way we did last night.

  • Cootes also to replace Moylan
  • Id make the following changes for Game 2

1 Moylan - Replace with Tedesco or Dugan if Ted isnt available

2 Ferguson - Get to stay only because I dont want too many changes

3 Jenko - Replace with Leilua we need a center who makes opportunities

4 Jmoz - Keep. Theres a reason Inglis was reasonably quiet

5 Mansour - Did his job

6 Maloney - Went quiet but OK

7 Reynolds - Kicking needs to improve

    8 Woods - Keep

9 Farrah - Replace with Ennis  I dont need to say more

    10 Tamou - Keep

    11 Jackson - KEEP workhorse

    12 Cordner - Keep

    13 Gallner - Keep

14 Walker - Replace with J Bird or Austin we need a real utility

15 Bird - Keep usually not a fan but I thought he worked really hard for us & he cops the hit & keeps going

16 Klemmer - Keep but need to run onto the ball Ennis will help that

17 Fafita - Keep, more time on field and again needs to run onto ball

    • Disagree with Leilua, woeful defender, great attacker. Thurston and Cronk will attack him all night.

Other than that, it looks good

    • Fafita''s first run was powerful yet seemed well contained after that.

What a blooper early in the game from Morris with the penalty tap, Oh dear.

Why have a so called utility that sit's on the bench for 70 odd minutes?  By the time he comes on he's likely resigned to either not contributing or not able to, or his enthusiasm is shot anyway, & compounded likely with nerves.  It was easy to see in the first 4 moves after he came on the plays were seemingly cutting him out as the ball kept being passed by him.

What's the thing with Klemmer with his skippy running, starts to run then a skip, hop & then go, but the time the defence is set waiting for him

thought Moylan was ok, but bumble bee Fergo was not working with him, he was caught out a couple of times badly by the kicks from the toadies, other than that, he seemed ok

Bird did his job, & worked well.

One thing that the blues still cannot read is the way the toads play. They look tired with the forwards seemingly taking all the time to get back on side after a blues kick, but usually by the 2nd tackle the toads are back up, so the walking lazy have time to suck the air in.

Smith, is a master of blocking the play the ball area, using the tackled player as a lever to get up, innocently pushing the tackled player down, then stands behind the play the & near the dummy half with hands in the air & starting to move, it blocks one side of the field from a play, pass the ball into him & should be a penalty.

1. Who would you like to see get flogged in Vegas - Gutherson or D. Brown. Or maybe they don't concern you and are only focused on us. For mine its Gutherson, I've never liked him off the park. Sure on the park he gave everything, but his contract…
