Gallant, bit of bad luck, but still a dumb team.

Another year. So hard seeing us ever winning the premiership. We had a bit of bad luck but truth is we just don't have the team. We make dumb decisions. Moses was supposed to step up. Gutho and Junior can't do it all. Gutted. Again.

  • Nothing to do with luck. Absolutely no fu.king game awareness. None since 86. Back to the drawing board. Great pack. Shit halves

  • Parramatta the Barnsley of English football promise so mutch, sucks you in then.... boom

    • BA is here until the end of 2022

so it will be bare minimum another 2 years before that record changes

  • I was thinking exactly this in that second half when we started to crumble, then realised the problem causing this...

BA likes footballers... tough rugged footballers with good instincts on the game. The problem is footballers are fucking dumb and they make bad decisions at crucial times, and that's what we saw tonight sadly.

I'm not going to fault their effort because it was there tonight and I was expecting a flogging, but we lacked some intelligent decisions at crucial times and I'm not sure if BA has the intelligence himself to identify the issue.

    • Spot on.

Gutho needs to take some responsibility. He is a great player. All heart.  And most of the time has a  good footy brain but when it counts he makes some bad decisions. He should have calmed the team down instead of playing dumb catch up footy.

I think on his day Moses is good too. The problem is those days are never when it counts the most.

Dylan Brown is so our most promising player when it comes to footy smarts. He needs to take more control off Moses next year.

      • Agree 100% with all points.

We really needed someone to settle things down a lead in that second half. If we had put the ball over the sideline a couple of times on our 5th tackles it could have given our defence a rest.

The bombs are doing more harm than good in the second half because we don't have great chasers and fullbacks were almost spitting our defensive line.

This is where and why we lost both our finals. It wasn't from effort, bravery or talent.

Maybe this is what we look for in our 14? Could this be solved by a bit a maturity in Benjamin Marshall?

        • Marshall is a good option.

I've got plenty to say about MON, but in the interest of club unity and the need to be positive from now on, i'll suck it up, and say nothing. "
