Is anyone interested in attending the Gala Ball Season Launch.

If so, let me know and we should maybe try to put together a table

i was there, and i can tell you it was an absolutely amazing night....
all of the past and present stars were more than happy to mingle and already looking forward to the next one.
habib and rocky from fat pizza were the comics for the evening and had the crowd in stitches.
all in all, it is a great initiative by the board and something which will gain even more popularity as the years go on.
I was there also, and I believe it was well worth the ticket price. Rabs Warren was classy as the MC for the evening, fromer players of all 4 winning GF side were in attendance such as Pricey, Paul Talyor, Stan Jurd, Kenny, Atkins, Mosely, Edge, among many others, sadly Sterlo and the Crow were not there. A tribute to Caylo was again a highlight, with him being suprised by the Lord Mayor of Parra who presented Caylo with the key to the city.
One by one the top 35 players were called to the stage to have their 2011 jersey handed to them by Kenny, Price and Edge. the boys then lined the stage where the team as a whole were presented to the audience. I really felt bad for Loko, Paddy O, Rory Brien who have trained the house down but were not in the final top 35 and missed out on a jersey. Rabs paid special mention to thse young guys.
Mooks took the stage for a interview, where he gave his insights on how he thinks we are travelling, confirmed again that at this stage he will be starting Morts and Robbo in the halves. Is very happy at the way the team has come together and also how well they are responding to the structured he put in place.
Had a good chat to Tom Humble, he is not injured but at this stage will not be having a run, he said he has a issue that needs to be sorted and he will be good to go. Its a personal thing and I think we should leave it at that, let just say he is not going anywhere, is extremely happy at the club and is jumping out his skin to play.
Anyway, once all the boy clloected their jumpers they paraded through to the back of the room where they then personally signed their jerseys and then they were place in for auction, I was luckily enough to pick up two. Crazt thing was a few of the lesser known players jerseys ended going for just over $100!
The comedians were a crack up. Food was great.
The opportunity to mix and mingle with past and current player was fantastic, a great night had by all.
I did speak to a few members of the board and expressed my thoughts on something a littel more affordable, accessable to the majority of everyday supporters could be done in the future, and it was taken on board and a suggestion of something similair later in the year for around $70 - $80 could be feasable.
Anyway I could keep going on, but have to start getting ready to head out to todays trial. If your uncertain about going today, get out there and support the boys, I think they are going to suprise a few this year.
Cheers
