Seeing as everyone hates Ricky Stuart I have decided to start a blog where everyone can just say what they like about Ricky. I'll go first. Ricky is a liar and can't stay true to his word. He said before SOO1 that he won't pick players out of position, already he has Jarryd, Hopoate, Gallen and Watmough all out of position. Secondly he says that he is building for the future but picks a 31 yr old FB with a history of back problems when he has a fully fit Hayne playing on the wing. He picks just 2 props for Origin 2 and thinks that by doing this we will out muscle QLD. Clearly Ricky doesn't know how to select a team that is competitive and can play together.

Look I think Gould won't coach NSW until he gets 2 things.
1. The NRL commission is brought into effect.
2. He gets the best choice of players.
Gould is the most successful NSW coach in history. His structures are simple and easy to follow. Gould knows how to win and do it convincingly. I know many of you think he has a big ego and is concerned about himself more than the team. But his record speaks for itself. 24 matches with 14 wins. He was and still is the only Origin coach to have won a series whitewash with the same 17 for every game. If you want consistently good performance you look at Gould.
Ricky has the goods... sort of.....
he got the Roosters to 3 grand finals..... yes the roster was good, but it was also good the previous 5-8 years with Gould/Murray in charge. The way the Roosters played for those 3 years was great in that they turned up every week when more talented teams like Saints/Newcastle (with Joey) we hot and cold.
At Cronulla he had a pretty good season, but during his shitty seasons he still got his teams to turn up.
His origin teams have played with pride and passion as they did this year, and his Australian teams played well except for one major hiccup.
Ricky definately knows how to prepare good teams.... I didn't say coach good teams.... just prepare them... and sometimes that is enough.
I perosnaly think he can coach.... but he is a vitctim of his ego and perhaps makes coaching too complicated. He has discarded many good players and chopped and changed a lot with key positions at most of his jobs...
I put him in the same category as BS... has the goods but too many faults that eventually bring him down and certainly shouldn't be at one club for more than 4 years.

so much for playing players in their actual positions, building for the future, sticking with the same team (all pre origin promises)
and to cap it all off he either has personal grudges against certain players (namely hayne and idris) or he is a bloody idiot (im tipping a combination of the two).
The obvious solution after the jennings, dugan and morris injuries was to put hayne at fullback, idris in the centres and hopoate (or another winger) on the wing. but instead stuart decides he wants to catch up with his buddy from the roosters for old times' sake before they both apply for a pension.
im almost barracking for qld just to give ricky a bit of a wake up call and show him that he can't just do what he wants.

WHY OH WHY did the powers that be in NSW appoint a guy who got the boot from his last two clubs (and he did, tho he "left' we all know that Ricky got the push).
Players picked out of position, not picking guy like hayne in Origin one then Idris ... who , yes, hasn't been playing the best at club level, but jeez, as even the Queenslanders are saying, "If Idris is good enough to play for Australia, why isn't he good enough to play for NSW" !!

Sorry, to use harsh language, but Stuart infuriates me. It pains me to know that there are quality players out there, not being picked either in the squad or in their correct position all because Ricky can't be a BIG ENOUGH MAN and admit when he has made a mistake and CORRECT IT !!!

You and Bozo Fulton (also a selector) need to fall on your collective swords (or one anothers if that's your thing!) and exit stage right !!!
