I fully agree. He has been our best player for yonks & we will miss him big time.
From his perspective, I think he is being very sensible. As he explained in his announcement, to play in the NRL has become his dream & his passion, & he is being true to himself.

Would have been nice to be able to give him a proper send off. It's sad I didn't know I was watching the last of him when I saw him in Newcastle....I wouldn't have got up him so much for being lazy lol

I do not think any Eels fan could not say best of luck and hope it is a successful move.
Best memories of talented, sometimes freakish, and exciting player since the 1980's.
Strangely enough this news has me eagerly anticipating 2015 for the Eels - this could in fact be the catalyst to developing our team into a formidable force now we will not have the excuse of Hayne being there to save us everytime.
The team will have to step up (as a TEAM) or, fold completely.
