Fui is the key to success

Fui fui has been looking like he should change his name to phewi phewi so far this season, and I think he is the major cause of our slow start. He is also the man who can turn things around..

Everyone is looking at hayne for inspiration, and once he has room to move, he is the best RL player on the planet. But so far this season all the teams we have played have managed to put jar over him so he cant even get started.

Except the last twenty minutes against manly. Now who nearly went over once, but got ruled a double movement, and then scored another try by bowling 3 players going backwards to the line in this game FUI!!, Fui decided to wake up for 20 min or so, and when he did, suddenly Hayne had room to work his brilliance.

I get the feeling Fui wears his heart close to his sleave, and being benched on the first game, for that poor import Poore took the wind out of his sails a bit, especially  after showing he was the worlds best forward toward the end of last year, our scoring nearly always depended on him being on the field.

The GF prooves this even more, Fui was rampaging in the last 1/4 of the final, and scored that awesome buffeting solo try ... we started winning, and would have if the archer had not penalised fui knocking the stuffing out of slater when he knocked on.

If he gets his act together and works of that xmass tucker, look out every other team in the comp. Common Fui.. Smash 'em mate!!

  • No offence to poore, I think he has a lot lot more to offer, it just really needs to start happening!
  • So far out of the games that have been played only Burt and Reddy have played consistently well (when not injured). I agree an inform Fui would certainly get things moving. As much as I like Cayless and Hindmarsh they are getting on a bit and I think they are more for their experience. We need the forwards to make more yardage and intimidate the opposition (like Fui) to let Robson, Mortimer etc do their thing.

Lets hope Fui has a great game on Monday and cements his spot in the starting side. If the forwards play well, the team plays well.
  • i see huge axing if the eels dont win

poore - mateo -robson -mk - cayless - inu take your pick but 3 or 4 will go
  • I still say we have to get our defensive line speed and aggression in order first. That is where we are getting dominated leaving no juice to get our own roll on.
  • Maxforce..

What has Inu done wrong?? He's been solid in the 2 opportunities he has had, and has outshone Reddy and Tahu by a long stretch

Back to topic, Fui has started slower than we expect of him. Maybe contract negotiations are distracting him.

Poore has been terrible, but we know his potential when he finds his place in our team.
  • Fui is playing the same as he always does, he hasn't been doing anything differently.
Yes our defensive line is very slow and constantly rolling backwards leading to tiredness, but the other major factor affecting Fui and our other forwards impact is the slow and predictable service out of dummy half.

This is where all of our problems in attack stem from.
    Think about it.
