Yes I thought the Sharks played better than us tonight. However I feel we still should have won the game. We did make it hard for ourselves in the second half with not completing our sets. But crucial refereeing decisions really cost us. Not only on the score board but with possession. If we had more possession from those decisions then we would not have to defend so much. Could have been a completely different ball game. We have a depleted side with injuries and players leaving and we can still win against the top teams. Very proud of the boys

  • The writing was on the wall when Cronulla successfully three-man stripped Kenny. From there on in it was an uphill battle.

  • Yeah Malony was all over that ball
  • Agree
  • Goose, I agree we could have won. But not with the troops we put on the field against the Sharks. Our key weakness was going in with just one half (organizer and kicker). The Sharks exploited the Edwards/Gutho pairing all night. And Norman could not shoulder the entire organizing load and all the kicking duties. This meant little things going against us or our own errors really set us back in terms of field position. Would we have won if Foran was there? I think yes. But would we have won with Robson there? I think yes again. The defensive improvement of a strong half at 3 in, and the reduced load organizing and kicking load on Norman, would have helped ease that field position issue.
