The Bulldogs game was a concern of mine as the dogs do have a powerful rep quality pack. I was unsure of how our smaller pack would go in the wet against the dogs and I was very happy to see that we were running great lines, great forward support play and good second phase play. Our middle forwards set the platform early with big Vave and Timmy ("don't retire") Mannah winning the metre game. Brown had his usual rep quality running metres, but someone who impressed me in a big way was Vave, and I hope BA leaves him at starting prop for the remainder of the season. The following running stats of our middle forwards speak for themselves:-
Brown - 187 metres in 61 minutes
Vave - 152 metres in 32 minutes (very impressive)
Matagi - 149 metres in 38 minutes
Alvaro - 125 metres in 40 minutes
Mannah - 115 metres in 38 minutes

Well, our forward we dominated big time vs the dogs in the 13-12 win and it was a good comeback last night.
Timmy cracks 100m and Daves jumping around like hes at a Katey Perry concert again lol.
Youve basically listed in order the importance of our front row above Dave.
Alvaro is now ahead of Timmy.
Great efforts from Brown matagi and Brown, Alvaro was good but needs to improve his discipline around the ruck, he let the pressure off a few times the other night but great try, he deserved that, hes definitely stepped it up a bit this year Dan.
Heaps of fish in this pond, don't even need a fishing rod :)
Our forwards were awesome but again, keep some perspective. Bulldogs clearly have massive internal issues and their efforts reflect that! If we do that against the Storm or the Roosters, then I will be over the moon. They are our biggest challenges pack wise at present.
You are right, we are still a way behind the big three in Storm, Roosters and Sharks. If we beat the Broncos up in QLD I will be very impressed as they won't be taking by surprise next time around.
Spot on, the dogs pack are ageing and havnt been playing well for a while now, combine that with the dramas over there its clear spirits are low in the team but we did out muscle a strong Broncs pack last week, it does look like out packs starting to gel.
I think those first few easy tries put them in a bit of a comfort zone as too which allowed us to alter ourselves . If they take off like that again next time I reckon they'll put their feet on our throats and won't give us a sniff .
Ben Hunt at Hooker can be dangerous . He used to go pretty well there when he was a utility .
More likely to be warmer and a lot faster track up there in QLD, which will better suit Oates and Roberts. That game will be our test on where we are really at.
