The Cowboys will use Ben Hampton or Carlin Anderson there, maybe even Te Maire Martin. The Cowboys would’ve have had an insurance policy in place should they needed to get rid of Barba.
I think they will have a temporary replacement for this year. Then Holmes will fail in The NFL and will come back to Australia and sign with NQ as he is from Townsville originally. That will be in 2020, he can never return to Cronulla, he burned his bridges with them.

Heard talk of Holmes to NQ but thought he promised to return to sharks as part of the deal for him leaving mid contract
they do have a lot of outside backs but no specialist FB
Haynes said he would come back to Parra after the NFL but didn't. Even if it is a clause in his get out contract Cronulla wouldn't try to force Holmes to go back to there.

The deal was that Holmes would play for Sharkes this year if he doesn’t get picked up in the NFL. He will be playing for the Cowbous in 2020.
Im willing to give French this year to see how he goes and if he goes like he did last year he can leave with my blessing but not right now he cant i think he make a good fullback with a bit more weight

I think French has the ability to be a sensation at fullback this year. He certainly had a terrible season last year but in 2016 and 2017 he was a try scoring machine whose strike rate was very close to that of of Vunavalu. Last year we didn't have the players to get a good start to our sets which hampered our pack's go forward and we were constantly on the back foot. That killed everyone's confidence including French but Ferguson will, and hopefully Sivo can, bring the ball to our opponent's defence much better than our wingers did last year. To let French go now without giving him the opportunity to redeem himself would be madness and I'm sure he'd come back and bite us on the arse like a lot of others, who we let go prematurely, have done in the past.
I had to talk about this. Our second rowers are complete and utter usellessKautoga:Is going backwards gives away to many penatlys terrible defence to many errors.Tuilagi:same as kautogaand matterson, lane and Cartwright are not any betterAll the…

French could go to the Cowboys as well. Very similar to Barba in the way they play.
Yeah I was wondering that
It was fan voted. Each club put up their Maori and Indigenous players that were available and fans voted on the squad.
