Frank-Paul Nu'uausala anyone?

A no from me as he's too old and probably past it, but what are your thoughts?

Former Kiwi Test prop Frank-Paul Nuuausala has sensationally walked out on English glamour club Wigan, remaining in Australia when the rest of the team flew home earlier this week.

The 31-year-old Nuuausala still has two years to run on a lucrative deal with Wigan but is believed to be homesick and keen to re-establish himself in the NRL.

Alarm bells were ringing when Nuuausala was the only member of the Wigan squad not to play in last weekend’s trial against Souths at ANZ Stadium.

Wigan coach Shaun Wane played down his absence - both after the game and when the squad returned to England yesterday.

But WWOS has learned that Nuuausala never got on the plane with his mates and is after a deal with an Aussie club.

Nuuausala's young family have been living in Newcastle and he is likely to try winning a spot in the young Knights squad, where his experience would prove invaluable.

Nuuausala played over 150 games for the Roosters from 2007 to 2014 and 31 games in two seasons at the Raiders in 2015-16

  • He was well past it two years ago.

    Would rather bring back Fui.

  • No. Not another Frank Pritchard thanks.

  • Raiders couldn’t get rid of him quickly enough.  Massive liability

  • As one of the more intelligent front rowers in the game, not known for brain fades or ill discipline, I'd be prepared to consider him for our Ron Massey cup team.

He is big, makes post contact metres, and has a tough noggin on him though...

  • Names a mouthful.

  • Roosters bound
  • Frank has never achieved the promise and skill everyone thought he would. Massive disappointment and way over achieving his true potential. Roosters have signed him as a back up anyways.
    • Yes your right Bradley, winning a comp in 2013 is underachieving is it !!!

    • Hmmmm so every player to win a comp has achieved there potential? Got nothing to do with his career in all JJ
  • I say the tigers or titans òr warriors sign him we dont want him i hope

"Storm either get him this year or not at all, so player swap next year is quite impossible. But I agree I think a swap is hard as Melbourne are that proud in what they are doing they won't have a sense of losing by caving in.

"As much as I'd like Lomax to sit out from the nrl for the next 3 years (and he should) realistically that isn't happening. It isn't fair.
That is what this court case is all about, to determine what is fair. So it isn't 100% right or 100% wrong (or…"
