Gower is playing well enough to keep his spot. Lussick and Allgood are injured so they are gone anyway. I think its time to bring Fui back for short bursts from the bench. We need some bite in the middle of the field. I think Mossop will come in as well.
Allgood's already out, 1 week even with an early guilty plea.
Mossop's available and played for Wenty on the weekend. He's now played a couple of NSW Cup matches and must be close to first grade.
I just think our forwards lack aggression.
Gower is good but he's not the type of player that will belt a forward pack like the cowboys.
We need to really smash them if we have any chance. If we nullify there forwards we will nullify J.T
I agree Gower will not be dropped as this is the first game where he played terribly, if we won and he played terrible nobody will mention it, he hasn't been a standout but he hasn't been noticed costing us a game or playing poorly, hes been average and doing his job.
I think BA should pick a certain team when versing certain oppositions...its easy to stick with the same17 every week but I reckon a few strategical changes should be made when playing a team like the Cows coz of their brutally huge forward pack! our full strength backline will be back this week: Hayne,Semi,Hoppa,Tonga,Sio, Norman,Sandow...then: 8Mannah 9Kelly 10Fui 11Edwards 12Ma'u 13SeffaPaulo,,, 14Pritchard 15Mossop 16JuniorPaulo 17Pauli...extended bench: Gower,Morgan,Terepo,Tanginoa,Jones....out of the team due to injury are Peats&Lussick,with Allgood expected to serve a 1match suspension! & Hunt to go back to Wenty...I'm not saying this has to be the line-up every week,but for this specific game I believe a bit of grunt & mongrel is needed....this forward pack can allow Haynesy to do his thing & set up our lethal backs to finish...! plus we need a big game from our halves too,coz we all know how good the opposition halves are
