Sometimes getting back to what you do and your job in these situations is actually very beneficial. I like the idea that if he still needs further help will go back after game. Whatever is best for him. Don't care bout our season anymore, just care bout keeping our roster we have left together and their morale and mateship up.
Lets just wish him all the best, in or out, but I honestly think getting back to what he does best will help him
Foran back Norman to resign, and then Hayne for the trifecta
Good news , finally
FFS do the local chemists need a mug shot of a well known and professional footy player?
I love Foran like every eels supporter but this is becoming ridiculous.
It's time to play some footy, Keiran or take a slice of that massive wage and give it to the 'Bring back Hayne campaign'.
A lost cause though, of course.
The years over, why put a game in front of a guys health, i wouldnt have put the game in front of a guys mental health even if we were heading into a GF, why do it now when it means nothing in the scheme of things, to appease a few fans who want to get their moneys worth?
I know its a tough situation to be in for him but look at it from the clubs perspective.
$1.2mil for a guy to sit on the sidelines for who knows how much longer.
I have had extended family members who have lost very close family and they have gone back to work within days.
As far as I know no one has died here so I think Foran needs to take whatever it is on the chin and try to get on with his life. Moping around aint going to make anything better trust me.
Frank how do you know he is moping around?
Forans wanted to come back and play since it happened, the gravity of the situation prevented that, i honestly cant believe their a people questioning when he is ready to come back and second guessing how he is feeling.
Stuff like this is very complicated because everybody is different, comparisons are useless.
Snake I sympathised with him when the news broke, in fact I still do, but if he needs help he must be moping around and feeling sorry for himself and if that's the case then hes better off surrounding himself doing what hes always done since he was probably able to walk - playing footy.
This may sound a little cold, but we all know that no one has died here, he has broken up with his wife which can be very tough no doubt, but don't tell me it compares to losing someone very close to you for eternity.
Would you be saying the same thing if his father died and he wanted extended leave? try that at work and see how long the boss sympathises.
Fact is Snake people go through this type of stuff or worse everyday, they get up and go to work to bring home $700/week just to make ends meet. Luckily he doesn't have that worry so he should count himself fortunate.
I think if he misses this week it has been a month and that's plenty of time to get his head right - if not then I will truly start to question whether Foran has the right mental toughness to be a leader at any club. It might sound tough, but its what many average Joes would be thinking.
Frank ive been in a family thats lost its father with 3 kids under 10, ive got a pretty good idea about families making ends meet under tragedy.
Ive lost a lot of people very close and dear to me, thats not bad mate, thats grief, you get over it you dont just get over mental issues so quickly, there is no comparison to be made imo.
And just because you need help or care does not mean you are moping around or feeling sorry for yourself, thats one of the most bizaare things ive ever heard, that might be right for some but certainly not for all.
theres a million blokes out there who have taken their own lives who never showed any signs of moping around or feeling sorry for themselves.
We clearly have a very different idea about mental health and thats sweet, everybody views it the same way.
We just thought hes ok he's just feeling down about it all. But what he really needed was to be around people who he could talk to and not left to his own thoughts.
Foran needs to return to normality and the sooner the better but like you say everyone has differing opinions and differing experiences it's all good.
