SEA EAGLES CEO WANTS TOM BURGESS

Manly Sea Eagles coach Geoff Toovey was involved in a heated row with new Sea Eagles chief executive Joe Kelly on Friday over the proposed recruitment of South Sydney international Thomas Burgess.
The Sunday Telegraph has been told some Sea Eagles staff members were cleared out of the club’s Narrabeen offices as Toovey and Kelly engaged in a robust debate about the Rabbitohs forward.
With the Sea Eagles still working overtime to retain star halves Kieran Foran and Daly Cherry-Evans, Toovey was believed to be fuming over Kelly identifying Burgess as a priority target.
The connection between Kelly and Burgess comes from the new Manly CEO’s previous role as South Sydney’s chief financial officer, a position he held from 2007.

Would be a good buy for the right price. Thoughts.
Manly really need size and Tom is looking really good at the moment, albeit off the bench. He is big and runs some great lines. If they lost a half but picked up Tom and had some cash left over for another buy, it may not be too bad for them.
Sounds like Toovey has not given up on Foran and DCE where as Kelly is making plan B
I hope I never see a Burgess in the blue and gold.
Couldn't care how supposedly good they are, they are Rusty boys and always will be.
We don't need them either.
